Millers Buy 14 In Kansas From NRG

DORIS and MONTE MILLER and son CHRISTOPHER MILLER are re-entering the radio business with the purchase, through their new ROCKING M RADIO, of 14 KANSAS stations from NRG MEDIA. The price for the stations has not been disclosed.
The deal includes Country KXXX-A and Hot AC KQLS/COLBY; Talk KGNO-A, AC KOLS (MAGIC 95), Classic Rock KZRD (93.9 THE BUZZARD), and Oldies KSSH (SUPER HITS 96)/DODGE CITY; AC KZLS (STAR 107.9)/GREAT BEND; Sports KNNS-A and Country KGRT/LARNED; Regional Mexican KYUU-A (LA MAQUINA MUSICAL) and AC KSLS (LITE ROCK 101.5)/LIBERAL; Oldies KWLS-A (SUPER HITS 1290)/PRATT; and AC KQNS (OZ 95) and Classic Rock KILS (92.7 THE ZOO)/SALINA. The MILLERS owned independent KMCI-TV/LAWRENCE-KANSAS CITY from 1988 to 2000; their family owns the BELLEVILLE TELESCOPE newspaper. CHRISTOPHER MILLER, who serves as Pres./CEO of GAMMON MEDIA BROKERS, represented ROCKING M in the deal.
