Corus Revenues Up For Q2

CORUS ENTERTAINMENT fiscal second quarter consolidated revenues rose 6% to C$174.7 million, with net income up from a loss of C$65.7 million (including a pre-tax debt refinancing loss of C$132 million) to a gain of $19.5 million (from a loss of C$1.54/share to a gain of 46 cents/share). CORUS RADIO revenues increased 2% to C$58.8 million, with segment profit up 5% to C$9.9 million.
The company has also approved a C$0.14 annual increase in its dividend (now C99 cents yearly for Class A and C$1.00 for Class B shares) as well as the start of monthly instead of quarterly dividends.
