Former Denver Host Reaches Plea Deal In Sex Case

Former Talk KRCN-A (RADIO COLORADO NETWORK)/DENVER "BUSINESS FOR BREAKFAST" co-host SCOTT CORTELYOU will plead guilty to a felony charge but will not serve jail time in a plea bargain reached with prosecutors in his case involving trying to lure a child into sex on the Internet.
CORTELYOU, 53, a veteran news and business anchor/reporter at several DENVER stations including KOA-A, KHOW-A, KKZN-A, KIMN, KMJI, and KMGH-TV, was arrested in JANUARY and charged with a class 4 felony; he is pleading guilty to a class 5 felony, detalis of which have not been decided. A second charge from an additional incident will be dropped in the plea bargain.
CORTELYOU waived his preliminary hearing TUESDAY.
