BIGCHAMPAGNE has finalized a data partnership with CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO, reports DIGITALMUSICNEWS.COM. The alliance specifically involves the CLEAR CHANNEL Online Music & Radio unit, which will deliver both streaming, on-demand, and broadcast data from a collection of terrestrial stations and their corresponding websites. That information will then be incorporated into the BIGCHAMPAGNE database, and represented within a number of new charts.
That includes a branded CLEAR CHANNEL Online music chart, as well as a series of localized TopSwaps rankings. The TopSwaps charts will track both streaming and downloading activity, and CLEAR CHANNEL stations will be given the option to include them into their websites. The data partnership will allow BIGCHAMPAGNE customers and CLEAR CHANNEL itself to better analyze what is being streamed, downloaded, purchased, and broadcast by market, format and station.
"CLEAR CHANNEL Online's more than nine million unique listeners a month represent a cornerstone audience for us," explained BIGCHAMPAGNE CEO ERIC GARLAND. "We couldn't be more enthusiastic about this groundbreaking agreement."
