The house that JUNE CARTER CASH used to refer to as "Camelot," the 13,000 square foot home in HENDERSONVILLE, TN that JOHNNY and JUNE lived for many years, burned to the ground this week. The 18 room house, built in the 1960's, was currently owned by former BEE GEE BARRY GIBB, who was in the process of renovating it for use as a summer home. The home overlooked OLD HICKORY LAKE and was considered, "a house of music." JOHNNY and JUNE were known to have friends like KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, WAYLON JENNINGS, BOB DYLAN and many others there for guitar-pulls and songwriting sessions.
GIBB had bought the house for $2.5 million in 2006. To read the entire story in the TENNESSEAN, click here.
