"NEWSWEEK ON AIR" celebrates 25 years on the air this month. Now distributed by JONES RADIO NETWORKS, the award-winning weekend program debuted APRIL 25, 1982 as "RKO PRESENTS NEWSWEEK" before being renamed "NEWSWEEK ON AIR."
To commemorate this anniversary, NEWSWEEK and JRN will host a reception at THE WASHINGTON POST Building on MONDAY, APRIL 30. The show is hosted by NEWSWEEK contributing editor DAVID M. ALPERN, a former NEWSWEEK reporter, writer and senior editor who launched the program in 1982.
Said ALPERN, "It’s deeply rewarding to celebrate 25 years of 'NEWSWEEK ON AIR.' We look forward to providing many more years of informative and entertaining features on big news of the day, key trends of our times and the people behind them."
