LOCALLY OWNED RADIO LLC announced today that it has completed the launch of its TWIN FALLS-SUN VALLEY, ID radio cluster. The announcement comes just weeks after the start of the market's first ARBITRON ratings period.
Top 40 KTPZ (THE MUSIC MONSTER) shifts from 99.1 to 94.3 FM but will simulcast on both frequencies until JUNE 30. After that time, TESTER BROADCASTING will operate 99.1 and announce future plans for the frequency, which will be focused exclusively on the BOISE radio market.
On its new 102.1 frequency, LOCALLY OWNED has launched Alternative KIRQ (I-ROCK 102-1).
Within the last few months, LOCALLY OWNED debuted Country KYUN at 106.7, while shifting Classic Country KTFI-A to Talk with syndicated shows hosted by LAURA INGRAHAM, DENNIS MILLER, BILL O'REILLY, MICHAEL SAVAGE, and more. Heritage Classic Rocker KIKX remains unchanged on the 104.7 frequency.
"Today is a very exciting day for LOCALLY OWNED RADIO and all of the listeners and advertisers here in the MAGIC VALLEY," GM LARRY JOHNSON said. "For KTPZ, our new signal will give us much stronger coverage of the metro area. KIRQ will give the MAGIC VALLEY its first full-signal New Rock station. Meanwhile, KYUN has the best signal of any Country station in the MAGIC VALLEY."
The cluster is consulted by RADIOCRUNCH President ANTHONY ACAMPORA.
