Manager To Buy SC AM, Maintain Local Shows

On the heels of the formal announcement that DAVIDSON MEDIA will buy Country/Southern Gospel WAGI/GAFFNEY, SC from GAFFNEY BROADCASTING and move it into CHARLOTTE with a Spanish format, GAFFNEY BROADCASTING Station Manager DENNIS FOWLER tells the SPARTANBURG HERALD-JOURNAL that he will be entering a lease-purchase deal to buy WAGI's sister daytimer WEAC-A and keep the local format and programming going.

FOWLER says that arrangements have been made for another FM station to carry GAFFNEY INDIANS high school football broadcasts, which air after WEAC has signed off for the night.
