College Jocks Off-Air Over Imus Stunt

College shock-jocks at ROGER WILLIAMS UNIVERSITY's student-run radio station, WQRI, are off the air after repeating the phrase that got DON IMUS fired. DANA PELOSO and JON PORTER were suspended this week after they said the words "nappy-headed hos" over and over on their show. They claim censorship and said they were using the phrase in the context of a discussion about the aftermath of the IMUS controversy.
The station's PD told WCVB-TV/BOSTON that the pair of amateur jocks were trying to be edgy. But PELOSO and PORTER blame the university's administration. They said their right to free speech has been violated because they've butted heads with the school in the past.
In 2004, the pair was in hot water after offering a whites-only scholarship to protest affirmative action.
