'La Cuca Gotcha' Gone At New Jersey 101.5

MILLENIUM Talk WKXW (NEW JERSEY 101.5)/TRENTON has dropped its afternoon "JERSEY GUYS" (CRAIG CARTON and RAY ROSSI) campaign "LA CUCA GOTCHA," but the station and an angry politician disagree over the reason why the anti-illegal-immigration campaign was ended early.
State Assemblyman WILFREDO CARABALLO (D-ESSEX) claims that he had convinced AT&T, VERIZON, PSE&G, DUNKIN' DONUTS, and the state to stop advertising on the show, and says that the station's move to drop the campaign is not enough for him, telling the STAR-LEDGER that "I'm not impressed yet." PD ERIC JOHNSON tells the paper that the campaign was dropped back at the end of MARCH in a move not prompted by advertiser defections but by the launch of a larger campaign against political corruption that has generated thousands of emails.
