Among the winners at the SONY RADIO ACADEMY AWARDS MONDAY night in LONDON were CLASSIC FM as national Station of the Year, BBC RADIO 2's CHRIS EVANS as music radio personality of the year and for the entertainment award, RADIO 2's MARK RADCLIFFE for best music program, BBC RADIO 4 "TODAY" host JOHN HUMPHRYS as news journalist of the year and for best breakfast program, and a special honor for the late JOHN PEEL, the "Broadcaster's Broadcaster" award as the most influential radio personality of the last 25 years. BBC WEST MIDLANDS host TONY BUTLER was given a Lifetime Achievement Award.
