BOB GARBARINI has been promoted from VP/Sales to Sr. VP/National Sales for SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT. Based in NEW YORK, he reports to Pres./U.S. Sales JORDAN KATZ.
GARBARINI will work closely with the company's labels to develop sales strategies for a wide range of projects and releases, as well as with the team responsible for field sales. He will also act as the sales company's liaison to customer service and, together with his staff, will interface with the supply chain group on inventory management issues. GARBARINI will directly oversee sales administration and supervise key members of SONY BMG's Latin sales staff, and have overall responsibility for the creation and production of such publications as catalogs and solicitation materials.
"Throughout his career BOB has demonstrated the uncanny ability to assess any situation and crystallize a creative, yet pragmatic approach to it," KATZ said. "This newly expanded role will provide an even broader platform for his many talents, and I look forward to working closely with him."
