Bob Rivers, World Vision To Sponsor Children In The Dominican Republic
May 2, 2007 at 4:51 PM (PT)
CBS RADIO Classic Rock KZOK/SEATTLE's BOB RIVERS morning show is continuing its partnership with the WORLD VISION charity to host a one-day Radiothon on WEDNESDAY, MAY 16 to add to a growing community of sponsored children around the world. In MAY 2006, RIVERS' show sponsored nearly 1,100 Ethiopian children in a single day; this year, KZOK and WORLD VISION are setting their sights on the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.
BOB RIVERS Show Director ARIK KORMAN leaves for the DOMINICAN REPUBLIC on SUNDAY (5/6) to report live via satellite phone on what children there need most urgently. He'll return on MONDAY, MAY 14 to prepare for the MAY 16 WORLD VISION Radiothon, where KZOK listeners will be asked to sponsor a Dominican child for about a dollar a day until the child reaches the age of 18.
