The death of ST. LOUIS CARDINALS pitcher JOSH HANCOCK in a car crash last weekend has prompted CBS Talk KMOX-A/ST. LOUIS host CHARLIE BRENNAN to plant a horticultural memorial to HANCOCK and the late DARRYL KILE (who died during the 2002 season) on MAY 12 at the median on Market Street between Broadway and Seventh in ST. LOUIS.
HANCOCK's number 32 and KILE's number 57 will be formed with red leaf iresine plants on a white flowering Euphorbia Diamond Frost background. Donations for the memorial are being collected from listeners and volunteers to help plant the arrangement are being solicited. KMOX is partnering with GATEWAY GREENING for the memorial project.
