FCC Fines Four For Public File Violations

The FCC is proposing $10,000 fines for public file violations against SOUTHERN ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY at its WSMC/COLLEGEDALE, TN; EASTERN CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING for WEIC-A/CHARLESTON, IL; and CONTINENTAL BROADCASTING CORP. OF ARIZONA, INC. for KPHX-A/PHOENIX. MOREHEAD STATE UNIVERSITY's WMKY/MOREHEAD, KY drew a $4,000 proposed fine for similar violations. The license renewals of all four stations has been granted.
And the Commission proposed an $8,000 fine against VISION BROADCASTING CO. (KPXS/VIDALIA, LA) and a $1,500 fine against TAYLOR BROADCASTING COMPANY (WJTB-A/NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH) for late license renewal applications and, in VISION's case, public file and unauthorized operation violations.
