Nassau Launches 'The Bone,' Moves Lite 107, Shutters WSBG

NASSAU BROADCASTING PARTNERS announces changes at its NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY and STROUDSBURG, PA stations, as the AC format at WWYY (LITE 107)/BELVIDERE, NJ moves across the DELAWARE RIVER to the 93.5 frequency currently occupied by Classic Hits WSBG/STROUDSBURG, PA.
Concurrently, NASSAU launches a new Rock format on WWYY's 107.1 frequency, "THE BONE."
The new "107 THE BONE" will target the male audience in the LEHIGH VALLEY and POCONO area, featuring artists like GUNS N ROSES, AC/DC, AEROSMITH and METALLICA along with the FREE BEER & HOT WINGS morning show. LITE 93.5 will feature long time area personalities and lifetime residents CHUCK SEESE, JO-ANN GEORGE, BOB MATTHEWS and ROB BAUMAN.
NASSAU EVP/Programming MICHELLE STEVENS commented, “We are pleased that the airstaff of LITE 93.5 has a combined 80 years of local community service. LITE 93.5 will continue its strong commitment to the community, with morning personalities CHUCK and JO-ANN who will host the POCONO SPOTLIGHT featuring local, non-profit, and charitable organizations. Award-winning News Director BOB MATTHEWS will join the morning show with CHUCK and JO-ANN with all of the state and local news. The station will also feature enhanced local traffic coverage provided by Channel 69 for local commuters.”
Regarding THE BONE, STEVENS commented, “We are very excited about the launch of our newest Rock station, 107 THE BONE, with local personalities scheduled to begin in 30 days.”
