BEASLEY BROADCASTING has named DON HALLETT PD at Hot AC KSTJ (STAR 102.7) LAS VEGAS. HALLETT starts his new position MAY 7. He was most recently PD of CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC WMVX (MIX 106.5)/CLEVELAND. Prior to that, he spent 10 years as a programming, marketing, and research consultant to the radio industry and a decade as the PD of SAGA AC WSNY/COLUMBUS, OH.
Market Manager TOM DAVIS said of the appointment, "STAR 102.7 serves an important core demographic of women ages 25-44. The station enjoys a rich history of community service, and we’ve recently tweaked the station’s format to encompass a wider mix of music. DON HALLETT brings years of success and experience to STAR 102.7, and we’re looking forward to his joining our LAS VEGAS programming team."
Noting that there are three adult contemporary stations in the fast-growing LAS VEGAS market, HALLETT added, "I love being in such a competitive market, battling for market leadership. As I was looking for my next opportunity, I wanted a challenge and a job with one of our industry’s great companies. My thanks to LAS VEGAS Market Manager TOM DAVIS and VP/Operations BRIAN BEASLEY for providing me with both."
