Does DENVER need another Sports outlet? The DENVER POST's DICK KRECK reports that sports talker TIM NEVERETT is part of a group seeking to buy Classic Country KCKK-A (REAL COUNTRY 1510) from NRC BROADCASTING and take it to Sports using SPORTING NEWS RADIO, but NRC CEO TIM BROWN told KRECK "no deal" yet.
NEVERETT and SNR were on CRAWFORD's KLZ-A before it flipped to Religion on MAY 1. The market has two other Sports stations, LINCOLN FINANCIAL's KKFN-A (SPORTSRADIO 950 THE FAN) and KEPN-A, plus the sports-heavy CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KOA-A.
