WHOF DJ Fired For Accidental Airing Of Profanity

According to CANTONREP.COM, a website for THE REPOSITORY newspaper of CANTON, OH, CLEAR CHANNEL AC WHOF (MY 101.7) has fired morning show co-host/News Anchor JESSE JOHNSON of THE GARY RIVERS MORNING SHOW over "a pre-recorded string of profane words" that aired on MONDAY (5/21). Morning show co-host GARY RIVERS is scheduled return to the air next TUESDAY (5/29).
WHOF Director of Programming KEITH KENNEDY told THE REPOSITORY, "We have handled it internally. We have a zero tolerance policy for this type of thing, some very strict guidelines." According to KENNEDY, "JOHNSON was pre-recording something, stumbled in the middle of it, thought he had recorded over it and he had not, and it aired at 6:30a."
