NAB-Hired Law Firm Calls Sat Merger 'Anticompetitive'

A law firm hired by the NAB to analyze the SIRIUS-XM merger unsurprisingly says that the deal violates antitrust law. CROWELL AND MORING's 12-page memo calls the satellite radio merger "clearly anticompetitive" and replacing competition "with a monopolist in the downstream subscription market ... that is unrestrained in its ability to harm competition." The paper calls on the DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE to challenge the merger.
