LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY joins the SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE's previously announced five-year deal with XM SATELLITE RADIO for XM to be the official satellite radio provider of the conference. The TIGERS join ARKANSAS, GEORGIA, KENTUCKY, MISSISSIPPI STATE, MISSISSIPPI, and TENNESSEE, starting this FALL -- plus SOUTH CAROLINA in FALL 2008 and FLORIDA in FALL 2009 -- in the XM deal, originally announced in MARCH. The SEC had previously aired on SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO.
"We are very excited about partnering with XM in bringing LSU and SEC sports to TIGER fans across the country," said LSU Athletic Director SKIP BERTMAN. "This agreement gives LSU Athletics tremendous national exposure, and it gives LSU fans the opportunity to follow SEC sports like never before."
