Station Deals: Univision Puts ABQ Station In Trust; Fargo AMs Change Hands

UNIVISION is putting Classic Hits KIOT (COYOTE 102.5)/LOS LUNAS-ALBUQUERQUE into the UNIVISION ALBUQUERQUE TRUST, with BOB WOODWARD serving as trustee, in order to comply with ownership limits. WOODWARD will be entrusted to sell the station.
Also filed with the FCC, JEFFREY G. DRESS sells the construction permit for new AM station KKAG-A/FARGO, ND to JAMES INGSTAD's RADIO FARGO-MOORHEAD INC. for $850,000 while RFM sells Sports KVOX-A (1280 THE FAN)/FARGO to VOICE OF REASON RADIO for $200,000, a charitable donation credit of $1.23 million, plus a $100,000 airtime donation and a right of first refusal to buy the station back for 20 years. VRR will operate KVOX as a noncommercial station.

CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES, INC. sells noncommercial Contemporary Christian WAVX (90.9 THE WAVE)/SCHUYLER FALLS, NY (BURLINGTON-PLATTSBURGH market) to VERMONT PUBLIC RADIO for $1.1 million.
LBR ENTERPRISES INC. sells AAA KZRC (THE KAT)/MARKHAM, TX (between HOUSTON and VICTORIA) to EDWARDS BROADCASTING CO. for $400,000 cash.
And JACK REYNOLDS sells his 51% interest in R&M BROADCASTING, licensee of KHMB/CROSSETT, AR, to his 49% partner DENNIS MAXWELL for $162,000, giving MAXWELL sole ownership of the station.
