Australia's ABC To Probe Breast Cancer At All Of Its Studios

The problems that arose at the AUSTRALIAN BROADCASTING CORPORATION's BRISBANE studios have prompted the ABC to investigate incidences of breast cancer at all of its studios nationwide.
The move follows the release of a report on the breast cancer cluster in BRISBANE, with 13 women being diagnosed between JANUARY 1, 1994 and JUNE 30, 2006, mostly among women in the operation's newsroom. The report failed to pinpoint a cause for the cluster, which had a breast cancer rate 11 times higher than among the general working public, and said that the cancer was unlikely to have been caused by exposure to RF, but recommended that the company investigate cancer at all of its locations.
The BRISBANE staff was moved out of its TOOWONG studios last year and remains scattered among several locations.
