Hilo Trio Sold For $2.1 Million

SKYNET HAWAII LLC sells three HILO, HI stations plus six boosters to GEORGE KIMBLE's MAHALO BROADCASTING LLC for $2.1 million ($1.5 million cash, $600,000 in a promissory note). The stations include Adult Standards KIPA-A/HILO, Country KKOA (KOA COUNTRY 107)/VOLCANO-HILO, and Oldies KBGX (LAVA 105)/KEAAU-HILO, plus KBGX boosters in HILO, KAILUA-KONA, and NAALEHU and KKOA boosters in HILO and KAILUA-KONA.

In other sales filed with the FCC, WKYR INC. sells Country WKYR-F (K108)/BURKESVILLE, KY to JUDY CRABTREE's CUMBERLAND BROADCASTING LLC for $153,375.75 in a 45-month payment plan secured by a first mortgage on the real property included in the deal.
WRBX/WTNL INC. is selling Silent WRBX and WTNL-A/REIDSVILLE, GA to NASSAU BAPTIST MINISTRIES INC. for $217,000 ($117,000 down and $100,000 on DECEMBER 1, 2008).

And IHR EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING is donating the construction permit for FM translator K208EW/LOVELOCK, NV to EDGEWATER BROADCASTING INC. (RADIO ASSIST MINISTRY/WORLD RADIO LINK); the translator will rebroadcast WESTERN INSPIRATIONAL BROADCASTERS' noncommercial Contemporary Christian KNIS (PILGRIM RADIO)/CARSON CITY, NV.
