CURTIS MEDIA GROUP has announced the appointment of five senior managers to the position of VP. They’ll report directly to Pres./COO PHIL ZACHARY.
ADAM MAISANO is named SVP/Corporate Director of Sales. He joined CURTIS MEDIA as National Sales Manager in FEBRUARY 2002.
Also named SVP is TRIP SAVERY, GM of Country WQDR/RALEIGH. SAVERY has spent virtually his entire career with the company, having joined WQDR as an account executive in SEPTEMBER 1992.
JON BLOOM, MIKE HARTEL and RICK HEILMANN all assume the title of VP/GM of their respective CURTIS MEDIA operating units. BLOOM joined the company in MAY 2001 and helped launch LA LEY 96.9, NORTH CAROLINA’s first full-signal FM station serving the state’s fast-growing Hispanic population. HARTEL has been GM of Rock WBBB/RALEIGH since FEBRUARY, 2002. HEILMANN is currently GM of CURTIS MEDIA’s TRIANGLE TRAFFIC NETWORK, SOUTHERN FARM NETWORK News/Ralk WDOX/RALEIGH. He joined the company as an account executive in MAY 1989.
"These five managers could work for any broadcasting company in any city in the country," ZACHARY said. "Their dedication to the CURTIS mission and their well-documented history of leadership more than warrant VP recognition. And as we continue to grow, I’ll be relying more on their considerable skills and insights to spread our success into new markets."
