Webcasters' 'Day Of Silence' Set For June 26

Thousands of webcasters plan to go silent on TUESDAY, JUNE 26 to draw attention to the controversy surrounding the ruling by the COPYRIGHT ROYALTY BOARD to raise royalty rates, RAIN: RADIO AND INTERNET NEWSLETTER reports.
A "Day Of Silence" held in 2002 after a similar royalty rate ruling by the CRB drew national media attention and eventually led to a rate cut by the LIBRARIAN OF CONGRESS and the passage of the SMALL WEBCASTERS ACT.
