ENTERCOM has signed a deal to allow startup company TARGETSPOT, which will launch this summer, to sell and deliver audio and other kinds of ads on its more than 90 radio station websites.
ENTERCOM is the second major radio broadcasting company to partner with TARGETSPOT -- in APRIL, CBS RADIO announced that it would use TARGETSPOT's technology and marketplace on its 140+ online radio station network (NET NEWS 4/24); CBS RADIO also holds a minority interest in TARGETSPOT.
"ENTERCOM's portfolio of stations will provide deep coverage in key markets across the country and significantly expands TARGETSPOT's reach in these important areas," said TARGETSPOT CEO DOUG PERLSON. "Now with ENTERCOM joining CBS RADIO in the TARGETSPOT network, we have achieved critical mass for the most granular of advertising campaigns."
ENTERCOM Sr. VP/Digital SANDY SMALLENS said, "ENTERCOM is committed to providing advertisers direct access to our passionate audience of online listeners, who spend hours a day with our brands. We are excited to work with TARGETSPOT and open our streaming inventory to thousands of businesses that have in the past been unable to purchase radio advertising due to the lack of granular targeting or the high costs of production."
