Could this be the end of the line for GEORGIA football broadcasting legend LARRY MUNSON? The longtime voice of the BULLDOGS tells the MACON TELEGRAPH that he's "almost 50-50" about retiring before what would be his 41st straight year of GEORGIA play-by-play, saying that while "I absolutely have plans to do it, but things are just getting worse and worse."
The 84 year old broadcaster has experienced myriad health problems in the past, including a bout with prostate cancer, but sideline reporter and GEORGIA BULLDOG CLUB Exec. Dir. LORAN SMITH says that he expects MUNSON to return and so does flagship COX Talk WSB-A/ATLANTA Dir. of Sports Marketing NEIL WILLIAMSON, who says MUNSON didn't raise the topic of retirement when discussing the team's travel schedule recently.
