Clear Channel Places Spin-Off Stations Into Trust

CLEAR CHANNEL has filed paperwork with the FCC to place into the ALOHA STATION TRUST, LLC 71 stations it has previously announced it will spin off as part of its move to private ownership. JEANETTE TULLY is the sole member of the independent trust. CLEAR CHANNEL has also filed to include AAA WRNX/AMHERST, MA, acquired from PAMAL's 6 JOHNSON ROAD LICENSES, INC. after the paperwork for the transfer of CC's stations to the BAIN CAPITAL/THOMAS H. LEE-led private entity, on the list of stations being retained in the merger.
In other FCC sale filings, STARBOARD MEDIA FOUNDATION, INC. is selling FM translator K250AJ/TYLER, TX to EAST TEXAS COMMUNITY REPEATER GROUP for $2,000, and WHITLEY BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. is donating Talk-Sports WEZJ-A/WILLIAMSBURG, KY to WHITLEY COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION while retaining Country WEZJ-F.
