ALL ACCESS has learned that CLEAR CHANNEL EVP/Operations CHARLIE RAHILLY has been named President/COO of CLEAR CHANNEL-owned PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS, effective JULY 11. He will replace KRAIG KITCHIN, who has resigned but will remain aboard for the transition.
"CLEAR CHANNEL is fortunate to have someone of CHARLIE's caliber take on this important role," said CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO President/CEO JOHN HOGAN. "CHARLIE is a consummate professional of extraordinary experience, intelligence and talent. His track record is one of the best in the industry. He has led many of CLEAR CHANNEL RADIO's most strategic and successful markets and projects, and I am confident that he will have the same positive effect at PREMIERE. Our thanks go to KRAIG KITCHIN for his leadership of this important and successful business. We wish him all the best in his new pursuits."
RAHILLY said, "One of the best parts of my current responsibilities has been collaborating with the PREMIERE team. Together with everyone at this great company, we will continue to build on PREMIERE's leadership in providing the highest quality programming and the most innovative advertising solutions to national advertisers."
And KITCHIN said, "I thank everyone currently and formerly associated with PREMIERE and know that the company will continue to be AMERICA's #1 radio network."
In addition, an internal memo that went out today from HOGAN reads, "It is with great appreciation and delight that I tell you that CHARLIE RAHILLY has agreed to take on the president responsibilities at PREMIERE RADIO NETWORKS. As those who have been fortunate to work with him know, CHARLIE is a leader of extraordinary character and talent and I can think of no one better to assume this important role. He has racked up a truly impressive string of successes at CLEAR CHANNEL, both at the market level in LOS ANGELES and the national level spearheading enormously important projects like the GOOGLE relationship and non-traditional revenue projects. CHARLIE will take on his new duties on JULY 11 and will continue to report to me.
"On behalf of the company, I'd also like to extend thanks and appreciation to KRAIG KITCHIN, who after 20 years with PREMIERE has decided to move on. We wish him the best."
