PEAK BROADCASTING sells Regional Mexican KOQO-F/FRESNO to LOTUS for $9.4 million. The station was one of the properties PEAK acquired from CBS for $90 million late last year. LOTUS owns three other stations in the market, Regional Mexican KLBN (LA BUENA), Spanish Sports KGST-A (ESPN DEPORTES), and Spanish Hits KMMM (CONCIERTO).

Stations involved include Contemporary Christian KOAY (THE OASIS, LMA'd to SIMMONS MEDIA)/COALVILLE-SALT LAKE CITY, UT and six boosters; Country KYLZ (CLASSIC COUNTRY 104.7)/TREMONTON-SALT LAKE CITY with translator K283AO/SMITHFIELD, UT and four boosters; Soft AC KMGR (CLASSY 95.9)/DELTA, UT; Top 40 KUDD (107.9 THE MIX)/ROY, UT plus three boosters; Top 40 KUDE (KUDD sinulcast)/NEPHI, UT plus two boosters; Top 40/Rhythmic KUUU (U-92)/SOUTH JORDAN, UT with K274AC/RURAL JUAB COUNTY, UT; and Top 40/Rhythmic KAUU (simulcast of KUUU)/MANTI, UT plus two boosters. The chapter 11 status was granted MAY 15.
EMF Sells Georgia Station
EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling Silent WFFM/ASHBURN-ALBANY, GA to THREE TREES COMMUNICATIONS for $150,000 ($50,000 cash, $1000,000 in a reduction of a $700,000 promissory note THREE TREES made to EMF in the purchase of WJYF/NASHVILLE, GA). EMF bought the station and sister simulcast partner WRXZ (now Contemporary Christian WHKV) earlier this year from ON TOP COMMUNICATIONS (debtor in possession) for $615,000.
RANDY WACHTER is selling his 50% interest in BROADCAST PROPERTIES INC., licensee of Talk KLPW-A/UNION, MO, to partner LOUIS B. ECKELKAMP III for $200,000 ($100,000 paid to TWENTY ONE SOUND COMMUNICATIONS to pay the station's existing obligations and $100,000 to WACHTER).
DANIEL, DEBBIE, CHARLES, and JOYCE BROWNLEE are selling their shares of DUBOIS AREA BROADCASTING CO. INC., licensee of Religion WDBA/DUBOIS, PA and W279AB/CLEARFIELD, PA, to FAMILY LIFE MINISTRIES for $1,500,007 ($500,000 in a promissory note).
