Rick Nuhn Heads Urban Promotion At Concord Music

CONCORD MUSIC GROUP has tapped RICK NUHN to be Sr. National Director/Urban Music Promotion. He will be responsible for promotion and marketing for CONCORD’s urban artists. He has been consulting for the company for the past 18 months.
NUHN is an industry veteran who began his career in radio at KXTC/PHOENIX, then became PD when the station changed from Jazz to Disco. He also worked at KXAM, KOPA, KZZP and KUKQ in PHOENIX and KGFJ-A/LOS ANGELES.
NUHN segued to the record industry, where he became a very successful promotion executive at ATLANTIC RECORDS and EASTWEST RECORDS; he eventually became VP/Urban Promotion for MJJ RECORDS and Sr. National Director/Promotion at WARNER BROS. RECORDS. He is currently hosting the nationally syndicated “TOP TEN NOW AND THEN” and does weekends and fill at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40/Rhythmic KHHT (HOT92JAMZ)/LOS ANGELES.
In his new position, NUHN will report to VP/Radio & Video Promotion JILL WEINDORF, who stated: “RICK’s incredible knowledge, enthusiasm and industry expertise are assets to the CONCORD MUSIC GROUP. We are fortunate and excited to have him on board.”
