GEM STATE ADVENTIST ACADEMY Christian AC KTSY/BOISE helped to host over 3,000 people, who shouted the famous words "Move that bus" as ABC's EXTREME MAKEOVER - HOME EDITION launched its new season, building a new home for the STOCKDALE family who live in a BOISE suburb.
RYAN and KARIA STOCKDALE have four children, ages 2-6, who all suffer from an extremely rare white blood cell disease, called Eosinophilic Esophagitis. The biggest effect of this disease is the children's inability to eat food. They are tube-fed a special type of liquid food. The family had been living a small trailer home that was molding and falling apart.
KTSY also recently hosted an event with REUNION RECORDS artist BRANDON HEATH. HEATH met with pastors and youth leaders from the community, offering some new perspectives and ideas on how to reach people through worship. He also took part in a free concert for KTSY listeners later that evening.
Also, KTSY partnered with local water park ROARING SPRINGS to raise money to grant wishes this summer. Paper “Summer SANTAS” were sold for one dollar at the park entrance; over $3,700 was raised in one day.
