FCC Fines Three Stations

The FCC has issued an $18,000 fine to ORA ROBERTS SMALLWOOD, III, former licensee of Talk daytimer WCRR-A (now Contemporary Christian WLOY-A)/RURAL RETREAT, VA, for failure to maintain operational EAS equipment and public file violations.
The Commission has also fined RAMA COMMUNICATIONS, INC. $20,000 for main studio staffing, public file and transmitter operation violations at its Urban WKIQ-A/EUSTIS-LEESBURG, FL.
The Commission fined TALKNSPORTS, INC. $5,000 for failure to notify the Commission and submit a written request to discontinue operations for more than 30 days at its Talk-Sports daytimer WKFL-A/BUSHNELL-LEESBURG, FL.
The FCC also rejected RADIO WESTFIELD's proposal for a new AM at WESTFIELD, MA and dismissed ED THURNER's objection to the license renewal of SUN MOUNTAIN, INC.'s AC-Talk KBSR-A (BIG SKY RADIO)/LAUREL-BILLINGS, MT.
