FCC Renews Two Challenged Licenses

The FCC has rejected a challenge to the license renewal of REGENT's Top 40 KKSR (KISS 96)/SARTELL-ST. CLOUD, MN by SETH A. NEIHARDT, a station employee who complained that the APRIL 1, 2005 "CASH DASH" contest was not run substantially as announced or advertised, and that the filling of a job opening at the station was not properly represented in the station's EEO filing.
BLOOMFIELD HILLS SCHOOL DISTRICT has been granted a license renewal for its noncommercial WBFH/BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI over the objection and shared-time application of RB SCHOOLS and a challenge from SUPERIOR COMMUNICATIONS, but a late license renewal operation after the expiration of its previous license, and public file violations drew the station a $17,000 fine. RB continues to seek review of the earlier dismissal of its shared-time application.
