XM/Radio One Talkers: We Were Fired For Challenging Theory
August 6, 2007 at 5:36 AM (PT)
Former RADIO ONE/XM SATELLITE RADIO "THE POWER" weekend hosts CASEY LARTIGUE JR. and ELIOT MORGAN air out their grievances in the WASHINGTON POST, alleging that they were fired by the channel for challenging the authenticity of "Memorandum 46," the memo that some African-American activists insist prove that the U.S. government under the CARTER administration plotted against black Americans.
The hosts devoted the JUNE 23 episode of the "CASEY LARTIGUE SHOW" to debunking the conspiracy memo, noting that the purported document misspells the name of its own alleged author ZBIGNIEW BRZEZINSKI, several other obvious mistakes are evident in the document, and the existence of a real CARTER Memorandum 46, a review of CENTRAL AMERICAN policy. LARTIGUE and MORGAN charge that RADIO ONE's lead talk host JOE MADISON is a believer in Memorandum 46's authenticity and that after they challenged it on the air, the show was cancelled.
