KILT-A/Houston, Zierlein Settle Dispute
August 6, 2007 at 3:14 PM (PT)
The contract dispute between CBS Sports KILT-A/HOUSTON and former morning co-host LANCE ZIERLEIN has been settled, and that means ZIERLEIN will not be returning to the station. It also means that ZIERLEIN has voluntarily dismissed all of his legal claims and is no longer contesting the enforceability of his employment contract or non-compete agreement.
In a statement issued by CBS RADIO, ZIERLEIN said, "I am extremely pleased that we have reached an agreement. I've spent my entire radio career at SPORTSRADIO610, so this is a bittersweet day for me. However, I am looking forward to the next step in my professional life and want to thank all of my loyal listeners for your support!"
ZIERLEIN, whose contract expires at the end of NOVEMBER, follows the departure of his former morning partner JOHN GRANATO, who landed at the new crosstown Sports KGOW-A as PD/morning host.
