2GB/Sydney Cruise Winner Found Dead On Board

A man who won a cruise trip from MACQUARIE/HARBOUR RADIO Talk 2GB/SYDNEY was found dead in a restroom on the ship early TUESDAY. The 31-year-old DULWICH HILL man was on the eight-day SOUTH PACIFIC cruise he won from the station when he died; the ship returned to port in NOUMEA, NEW CALEDONIA and an investigation was launched.
A statement from 2GB PD PPETER BRENNAN said, "The management and staff of 2GB have been deeply saddened by the news of the man's death onboard the P&O liner PACIFIC SUN. At this stage, out of respect for the family, who are being flown to NOUMEA, 2GB will not be making any further comment. The station's thoughts are with the family at this difficult time."
