The new minor league baseball LEHIGH VALLEY IRONPIGS will air on LEHIGH CARBON COMMUNITY COLLEGE noncommercial WXLV/SCHNECKSVILLE, PA and CLEAR CHANNEL's WZZO-HD-2 digital channel when the team, soon to relocate from OTTAWA, begins INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE play in 2008. The games will also stream at the team's Web site as well as both stations' Web sites. All 72 home games at the new COCA COLA PARK will also be televised by SERVICE ELECTRIC CABLE TV's IRONPIGS TV NETWORK.
"We are very excited to announce the foundation of our radio network," said IRONPIGS GM KURT LANDES. "Being on an FM signal was a priority, and forming a relationship with a community station like WXLV will provide many opportunities for local students. Additionally, our agreement with WZZO offers us a chance to stay on the cutting edge of technology with a HD broadcast that blankets the region. We are proud to be affiliated with both LCCC and CLEAR CHANNEL Broadcasting."
