BBC RADIO 2 morning host SARAH KENNEDY's erratic performance MONDAY, which drew a large number of listener comments to the BBC Web site, is being blamed by the network on a sore throat. On the show, KENNEDY was heard slurring and mispronouncing words, describing the PRINCESS OF WALES as wearing a "pink polka blot dress" and the victim in the PHIL SPECTOR case as having taken a "gunshot to the month," and offered to send "panties" to soldiers. She said, "I’m sorry, I have got a bit of a breathing problem today but I will get that sorted out by going to see the docs."
The network denied that alcohol may be involved in the incident. KENNEDY was reprimanded MONDAY by the BBC for a comment last week in which she called a couple buying a home from her "thieves."
