DON IMUS has reached a settlement with CBS over his multimillion-dollar contract.
IMUS and CBS Radio reached an agreement that ends IMUS' $120 million lawsuit against CBS. The 66-year-old former WFAN/NEW YORK and syndicated host sued saying the company breached his five-year, $40 million contract.
A person familiar with the talks said IMUS is talking to CITADEL Talk WABC/NEW YORK radio about a job.
No terms of the settlement were disclosed.
The activity comes about four months after IMUS created an uproar over his racist and sexist comments about the RUTGERS women's basketball team.
More Legal Troubles For Imus
IMUS settles one suit and gets tagged with another as a RUTGERS women's basketball player is suing DON IMUS, his former producer BERNARD MCGUIRK, and former employer CBS RADIO for defamation over the "nappy-headed hos" comments that got IMUS fired in APRIL. MSNBC, NBC UNIVERSAL, VIACOM, WESTWOOD ONE, and CBS CORP. are also named in the suit.
KIA VAUGHN claims that the comments damaged her character and reputation; the suit does not specify a dollar amount. The suit was filed TODAY in NEW YORK State Supreme Court in the BRONX, the same day IMUS settled his suit with CBS.
