On the heels of the move of the LOS ANGELES DODGERS' Spanish-language broadcasts from longtime home LOTUS Spanish Sports KWKW-A (ESPN DEPORTES 1330)/LOS ANGELES to LIBERMAN Ranchera KHJ-A (LA RANCHERA 930), reported first at ALL ACCESS TUESDAY, the LOS ANGELES ANGELS OF ANAHEIM announce that the team's Spanish-language broadcasts will move to KWKW to replace the DODGERS next year under a new five-year contract.
Conflicts with other broadcasts, including GALAXY soccer, will send the ANGELS to KWKW sister simulcast partner KWKU-A/POMONA, which can be heard in eastern parts of the market.
The ANGELS' owner, ARTE MORENO, is expected to move English-language game broadcasts from ESPN Sports KSPN-A (710 ESPN) to his own station, Talk-Brokered KLAA-A, which presently airs the team's Spanish broadcasts.
