Music from the world's largest music group UNIVERSAL MUSIC will, in the near future, be included with internet connections in FRANCE. Customers of ISP NEUF CEGETEL who have ordered a combined broadband, telephone and cable TV package for just under 30 euros per month will receive access to a selection of music from the UNIVERSAL MUSIC catalogue with the "100% Neuf Box."
The "Neuf Music Initial" package includes unlimited music from the pop, rock, disco/funk, world, electro/dance, rap/R&B, jazz/blues, 'variété française' and classical genres. NEUF CEGETEL said that for an additional five euros per month users can upgrade to the "Neuf Music Optimal" package, which allows unlimited music from a selection of 150,000 songs and 3,000 music videos to be downloaded. This music can be played on computers, compatible music players and mobile phones.
UNIVERSAL MUSIC and NEUF CEGETEL are related through media giant VIVENDI. UNIVERSAL MUSIC is a subsidiary of VIVENDI. NEUF CEGETEL is 40.5% owned by telecoms company SFR, which is in turn 56% owned by VIVENDI.
