FALL LINE MEDIA INC. is selling AC WJFL (MAGIC 101.9)/TENNILLE, GA to STAN CARTER's MIDDLE GEORGIA BROADCASTING, INC. for $305,000. The buyer has been operating the station under an LMA for three years.
In other deals filed with the FCC, MATINEE RADIO, LLC is donating the construction permit for new FM KRTS/MARFA, TX to MARFA PUBLIC RADIO CORPORATION. The donation carries a requirement that if the donee sells the station for commercial use or operates it commercially within the next 50 years, it will have to pay the donor $215,250 plus 80% of the gross purchase price if sold. The seller was assessed $35,000 by the FCC in JULY under a consent decree for signing the station on with a low-power signal operated by the buyer before it was legally entitled to do so.
E-STRING WIRELESS, LTD is selling FM translator K274BA/PARIS, TX to SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING, INC. for $5,000. E-STRING is also selling FM translator K227AT/ENID, OK to DONALD WILLIAMSON for $5,000. And WAY-FM MEDIA GROUP, INC. is selling W211BW/FORT PAYNE, AL to FAITH BROADCASTING, INC. for no consideration.
