DeCarlo To Leave WDSY Morning Show
September 12, 2007 at 9:20 AM (PT)
CBS RADIO Country WDSY/PITTSBURGH morning personality CHRIS DeCARLO will be departing the station after five years. CHRIS, who joined MONTY and ZEKE on the WDSY morning show, has done two tours at the station. She originally joined in 1987 and was part of the air staff until 1996, when she joined A&M RECORDS. After A&M folded their Country department, DeCARLO became the Northeast Regional for RCA RECORDS and remained there for five years before coming back to WDSY.
DeCARLO, whose husband JOHN PARRENDO plays fiddle for CHRIS CAGLE, sites personal reasons and a need for a change in direction in her announcement: "My son will be going to school in ATLANTA, JOHN is on the road with CAGLE and sometimes all of the family obligations require more time. Plus, I have to say that not having to go to bed at dusk and get up at 3a is definitely looking good. I will miss everyone at 'DSY tremendously, especially MONTY and ZEKE. It's just time to move on."
While DeCARLO is not revealing what, it looks like she has a career move already in the works and says that we can expect an announcement from her soon. You can contact CHRIS at (412) 398-1212 or ChrisDecarlo@mac.com.
