SALEM PUBLISHING continues to acquire various Christian music media outlets. SALEM announced yesterday (9/12) that it acquired CMCENTRAL.COM, a Christian music website and online community based in NASHVILLE.
“This acquisition reflects our optimism for music online. We now own and operate four fast-growing websites for devotees of Christian music: CCMMAGAZINE.COM, MYCCM.ORG, CHRISTIANMUSICPLANET.COM and with this acquisition, CMCENTRAL.COM. With these four distinctive websites and Christian music’s preeminent print publication, CCM MAGAZINE, we provide content and community for everyone from the casual fan to the in-the-trenches professional,” said SALEM Pres./Non-Broadcast Media JIM CUMBEE.
Six months ago, SALEM bought the magazine CHRISTIAN MUSIC PLANET and its accompanying website, CHRISTIANMUSICPLANET.COM, from EMF BROADASTING (Net News 2/8).
“People now get their news and entertainment in a combination of ways. We go where the audience is through a multi-platform strategy of print and online, and because of that we are able to truly meet the needs of our advertising clients,” said SALEM PUBLISHING Executive Dir./Advertising Sales JERRY CHARLES.
