WARNER MUSIC will sell JAMES BLUNT's new album through MYSPACE in an attempt to capitalize on the social networking site's popularity among music fans, reports MSNBC.
Beginning TODAY, U.S. consumers will be able to listen for free to BLUNT's entire album, "All The Lost Souls," from his MYSPACE webpage. If they like it, they can purchase a download for $9.99 that will play on APPLE's iPOD, and will also receive a compact disc version in the mail.
The experiment reflects the music industry's determination to find new ways to sell music.
