Controversial Montana Host/Owner Selling Station

JOHN STOKES finally settles his dispute with surrounding land owners and buries the conduit for lines connecting his studio and transmitter for Talk KGEZ-A (Z-600 THE EDGE)/KALISPELL, MT, but he's decided to sell the station nonetheless, reports KPAX-TV/MISSOULA. STOKES, the controversial owner and talk host who bought the station in 2000, is asking $4 million for the station, according to the DAILY INTER LAKE.
STOKES' battles with the MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION over payment for a 7-foot right of way to expand U.S. Highway 93 onto his property led to a legal battle, as did a dispute over the extent of an easement with the owners of the land on which his towers are situated.
