FISHER COMMUNICATIONS has named JIM CLAYTON as VP/GM of their SEATTLE properties. LARRY ROBERTS will leave his position as VP/GM and move to FISHER's corporate offices as VP/Special Projects.
"As the only radio/TV combination in the SEATTLE market, we have a powerful and unique advantage. I cannot think of a better way to encourage synergy between our stations than to have a single person responsible for both," said ROBERTS.
"This is truly a unique opportunity to combine and grow these outstanding FISHER assets," added CLAYTON.
"We are continuing to align our organizational structure to adapt to the fastest changing media environment in history. JIM's success, experience and background uniquely qualify him to build on the momentum growing in SEATTLE. STAR 101.5 has the best ratings it has had in six years and KOMO 1000 News has the best ratings it has had in recent memory," said FISHER Pres./CEO COLLEEN B. BROWN. "This move focuses on the synergy available to our stations in SEATTLE and the opportunity to realize our marketing goals throughout the Company," she added.
