XM, Sirius Shareholder Vote On Merger Set For Nov. 13

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO and XM SATELLITE RADIO have set NOVEMBER 13th as the day shareholders will get to vote on the proposed merger of the companies. The vote date appears in an SEC filing the companies submitted late WEDNESDAY.
The deal requires approval from only XM shareholders, although SIRIUS shareholders are required to approve issuing additional shares to complete the takeover of XM. Shareholders of record of SIRIUS as of TUESDAY (10/2) and of XM as of MONDAY (10/1) will be eligible to vote on the merger.
